Community Development
Rice Distribution Project
Chhavon Yos, the director of Khmer Krafts, aims to create a village feeding program. This project will allow the women who have been given the opportunity to work at Khamer Krafts to begin to serve the poorest in their community. The program, starting quarterly but eventually moving to monthly, will provide 25 pounds of rice to 200 families (1,000 people) and an opportunity for the gospel to be shared. The overall cost is $1250 to feed 1,000 people for a month.
Goat Farm Project
Lydia Inc has been given access to several acres of raw, unfenced land to help start a goat farm project. The goats will serve as a reproducible resource for poor families in rural churches. The goats will provide for these families in several ways. The primary needs are for goats to be purchased to graze, grow, and reproduce on the provided land and for fencing to be built to surround the land.
